GOOD night

Well, Mikey and I did our night visit with Ireland and she was doing wonderful! I'm still heavily medicated and can only understand things to a point....so with ultra simplicity I present her numbers for you. The number that is supposed to be between 40 and 50 but best at 50 was............50!!!! The 2 numbers that were supposed to stay the same.....were flipping back and forth between the same and one off!!! And for the CDH mama's that have been there before me...she is peeing lots!! For those that don't have a clue about the urine output.....basically Ireland is extremely swollen from the ECMO (bypass) and she is doing very well passing these fluids. And mystery of all mysteries, our baby has pooped TWICE!!!! Those in the know, well yes, we're proud. For those that are learning, pooping tends to mean that the stomach and bowels (that are still in her chest cavity) are working properly! For the Brady's out there, yes, this confirms your genetics :) !!! .......I will sleep well tonight. Ireland's doctor did walk by and say that the pooping was indeed a mystery and something to look into further (must they all be so brainy and scientific)....but I choose to believe that this is going to prove our baby is performing miracles.

Yes, we know to be prepared for a roller coaster with many ups and downs but tonight feels celebratory! Your prayers are working. So thank you everyone!!!!

  6. We are praying SO HARD for you guys right now. SO glad that she is pooping and peeing! We look forward to more and more positive updates from you guys!! I am a total numbers brain myself, so I really liked watching all of Maxs numbers to see if I could get a trend going.

  7. There are people praying from Monterrey, CA to New York, NY. I know that you are not LDS but my aunt Shanna has been asked to put your name in the temple for visitors to pray for your family as well. She is passing along the requests to friends and loved ones as well. I believe prayers are received from all faiths. I just believe it in the depths of my heart and soul. Ireland is here to teach lessons for a life time, her lifetime. I feel so emotional and so inspired by her already.

Look at the mountains your little girl is already
moving. So many people are sending their love to her and she's inspiring people to talk connect with their maker...... WOW!

  9. Yes there are ups and downs but try to stay focused on the ups- so when she is in an "up" that is all you think about- if you think about the "downs" while she is in an "up" then you'll never be able to enjoy the "up"...

    Glad she is doing well!

    Praying like crazy over here!!

  10. I love reading the updates on little Ireland...they are so encouraging, its like a book you don't want to put down, but you have to til the next post!!! We are so happy The Lord is still performing miracles...after thousands of years, and yet so many times it suprises us...why is that? I can't explain it, but it sure makes me excited. The pics make me want to just pick her up and hold and squish her!!! Just remember no matter what comes or goes, HE is in control...lots of love and prayers sent your way...shonna

  11. Hey Chanda, Mike, & Tristan! Isn't it amazing how exciting a good pee and poop can make us? We are continuously praying and keeping updated from your posts and your mama and daddy. Ireland Rose is a beautiful little girl with a very special family to love her. We are thankful for all of you and praising God for the strength that he is sending to each of you, especially Ireland! Happy Birthday, Chanda!

  12. Congratulations on a beautiful girl and what looks like a good trend to the postive! My little girl Dakota was also supposed to have a relatively mild case, and then due to complications of birth (in our case, being born 7 weeks early with an infection) had to be put on ECMO. Dakota stabilized quickly on ECMO, just like Ireland is doing, and then her body started performing like we thought it was going to. Sometimes these babies just need a little support in getting over unexpected obstacles. It sounds like Ireland's already starting to get back to acting like expected! I am praying lots and cannot wait to hear more positive updates!!!

  14. Focus on the good from the day and run with it!!! That is so wonderful Ireland is peeing and to have 2 BM's too....that just shows she is strong and just needs some time to rest on ECMO. Another good sign is her numbers....go Ireland. Praying for another GOOD day!! Keep fighting little girl and getting stronger. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHANDA!! I hope you feel better today and get to spend a little more time with your precious little girl.

    Hugs, Tracy
